Okay, here's what I wanna do: Set up a sort or "grid" or frames in a visually-balanced, appealing way. Have a quote or quotes within a frame. And for each quote, there would be a single word that would act as a link to a picture of website that has to do with THAT specific word and would have some meaning to me.

For example, a quote would be written... "blah blah blah....mirror". The word "mirror" would act as a link to a page about reflection or a picture to do with reflections of oneself

Another thought: I could have a single word within a frame that would still act as a link, but the word would be on its own. It would be able to link to a picture (that I photoshop and post somewhere, like photobucket or deviantart) that would have the entire quote.
Crap, XDD, it seems that I can't use this idea because it'd be promoting my own work instead of linking to external sources, which is what we're supposed to do, :P

I now have a more somewhat concrete idea as to what I'm going to do.

I wanted to create a sort of "collage" of quotes where a certain word within the quote would link to a piece of a picture, with the overall effect of creating a picture of pieces of other pictures so that it looks more appealing, visually...

I still have yet to actually look for any quotes though, ;p, which I should probably get to doing.

I think I'd probably get a better sense as to WHAT I'm going to do for Phase 1 after I get some information, and/or "quotes" (XDDD)

Now, I've sorta hit a a wall in terms of how I'm gonna lay out my "art piece"...
With what we've learned for XHTML and CSS, it seems that we can only use basic colours for text and backgrounds...

Which I think, as an artist, limits the creativity for how this piece will look visually...

Sure, it's rather inovative, to link one frame to another, but I want to be able to do more than that; I want it to look appealing to whomever views it

Phase 1 - Thoughts

For first phase, I had an idea that I'd have a page with 9 or so frames. Each frame would have a quote dealing with my topic. Each quote would be written in a different colour, so that no two quotes use the same colour.

And one word from each quote would be used as a link to another frame. So that when all the frames' quotes have been clicked, the whole page would look different from what it started out as.

But I also have another idea. I could do what I said up until having one word of a quote serving as a link. But instead of having it link to another frame, I could have it link to a webpage that relates to that quote...

I'm still sorta in my thought process...

Last Lecture - Sounds

During the last lecture on Monday, September 29, the prof. got us to listen to some music files that I thought were rather interesting. Recording one's voice and playing it at the same time, over and over and OVER. At first, I thought "WTF is this? Some guy with a lot if time?". But by the 32nd recording, the voice sounded like it had some sort of ethereal pressence, and then I thought, "Wow......I wanna try this...O.o... It sounds so cool~~"

Somehow I want to be able to incorporate this-- "technique", let's call it--into my project. That, or find some spare time and just do it on my own and see what happens, XDDD
